Visual Representation of the Modern Domestic Space in Iranian Printed Media (1925-1979)

This paper investigates the visual representation of modern domestic space in printed media, particularly, women’s interest publications during Pahlavi period Iran. The aim study is to understand how notion ‘being modern’ regarding was explained and visualized media. In other words, main concern this explore concepts that were mostly taken into account formation Iranian publications. Therefore, targeted at women scrutinized as medium display both ideas representations around space. these publications, tools including photographs, sketches, advertisements along with texts rigorously analyzed. findings research highlighted terms very similar notions on woman. order bring a identity woman space, abandonment traditional principles codes considered initial necessary step.
